Hannover, 12 August 2024. The care sector has been facing major structural challenges for years, exacerbated by a significant shortage of qualified care staff and an ageing population. This development urgently calls for innovative solutions and intensive cross-border exchange across the entire care sector. With this in mind, Deutsche Messe has launched a new trade fair in Germany covering all areas of care: in-patient, intensive care, out-patient and home care.
Pro Care will make its debut at the Hanover Exhibition Centre on 11 and 12 February 2025 and has received a positive response from the care sector. "An established location in northern Germany, a well-known organiser and a lot of potential - of course opta data is helping to shape this trade fair as a pioneer," says Tony Altimari, Head of Sales & Service, Nursing Division at opta data. In addition to opta data, more than 40 registered exhibitors have already confirmed their participation. These include verdi, Nutrio and biozoon. "The care market is facing major challenges and opportunities. As the population ages, the need for high-quality care is increasing. As Germany's leading manufacturer of nutritional solutions for chewing and swallowing disorders, Pro Care offers us the opportunity to present our latest product innovations to an interested professional audience. We expect to establish new partnerships and look forward to interesting presentations and dialogue with an interested professional audience," says Matthias Kück, Managing Director of biozoon.
Pro Care is explicitly aimed at all stakeholders in the care sector. Decision-makers as well as people who work directly with those in need of care. All areas of care are included: inpatient and home care, all age groups of people in need of care and all causes that lead to the need for care.
The trade fair takes place in Hall 7, where exhibitors will be able to showcase their products and services. In addition to recruitment, Pro Care will focus on digitalisation in the care sector and occupational health management.
Speakers on the large main stage will include political figures, industry experts and exhibitors. The latter can actively shape the supporting programme and present their products and services on stage. "We want to organise Pro Care together with the participating companies and are delighted that they will be able to share their experiences and solutions with the trade public," says project manager Heike Grosch, adding: "This also fits in with the spirit of the trade fair. Pro Care is constructive, solution-oriented and forward-looking".
In “InnoCircle”, the start-up and innovation area of the exhibition, young companies present new products and concepts from the care sector to trade visitors. These will be presented to trade visitors in short exhibitor pitches on the InnoStage. In addition, product innovations will be demonstrated in showcases and can be experienced in practice.
The mental and physical health of people working in the care sector will also be the focus of the exhibition. The "Charging Station" activity area will provide information on work-life balance, burn-out prevention and wellness: from recommendations for healthy eating to life kinetic exercises to reduce stress, simple yoga exercises for physical relaxation during lunch breaks and tips on how to fall asleep and sleep better during stressful working days. At the same time, company health managers can pick up important ideas for their organisation.
There will also be an accompanying care congress at the Convention Centre. Information on this will follow shortly.
Pro Care 2025 thus offers all those involved in the care sector the opportunity to actively shape the future of care, learn about innovations and make valuable contacts. Interested companies can still benefit from the early bird discount until 30 September 2024.
