Pro Care Congress "Zukunft pflegen"
From February 11 to 12, 2025, the premiere of the new Pro Care trade fair will take place at the Convention Center, Exhibition Grounds in Hannover. The focus will be on an accompanying congress, which will be held in cooperation with the Federal Association of Private Providers of Social Services (bpa). With over 14,000 member facilities, the bpa is the largest representative body for private providers of social services in Germany and brings extensive expertise to the event.
The Congress Program
The ‘Future Care’ congress organised by the bpa as part of the Pro Care trade fair on 11 and 12 February 2025 in Hanover will combine current political discussions and practical impulses for everyday life in care facilities shortly before the Bundestag elections in Germany.
The first names and topics from the congress programme have now been announced. Further exciting speakers will follow.

Opening of the trade fair and congress in the exhibition hall
The trade fair and congress will be opened jointly by the Federal Minister of Health, Prof Karl Lauterbach, the Executive Board of Deutsche Messe and Congress President Bernd Meurer.
11:00 a.m.
Congress kick-off followed by a panel of experts
Dr Jochen Pimpertz from the Cologne Institute for Economic Research will kick off the congress with a keynote speech entitled ‘Care is an economic factor - the care crisis is a brake on the economy’.
This will be followed by a panel of experts with, among others: Anna Leonhardi (Managing Director of DEVAP), Dr Joß Steinke (Head of Youth and Welfare at the German Red Cross), Claudia Mandrysch (Director of AWO Bundesverband e.V.), Dr Joachim Rock (Managing Director of Deutscher Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband) and other guests, who will discuss possible solutions for overcoming the crisis.
