Pro Care Congress "Zukunft pflegen"
The specialist congress ‘Zukunft pflegen’ in Hanover is the central event for all those who want to play an active role in shaping the care sector. Under the umbrella of the Pro Care trade fair, the congress organised by the bpa offers a unique platform for following current political discussions and gaining practical impetus for the management of care facilities and for practical work in day-to-day care.
The 2026 congress program once again sets the tone
On the first day, panel discussions with leading figures from politics and the care sector will take center stage.
The second day will be devoted to care management and care practice, with practical workshops, specialist presentations, and best practice examples focusing on the core topics of economic efficiency, innovation & digitalization, securing skilled workers—and now also sustainability. The program will be complemented by exchange formats that offer space for networking and cooperation.
Overall, the bpa's Pro Care Congress program for 2026 will be even more extensive and, above all, even more diverse than last year. Currently, approximately 25-30 events are planned.

Presentation of the bpa Future Award
Another highlight of the Pro Care Congress will once again be the presentation of the bpa Future Award, at which the bpa e.V. will present and honor innovative projects.
This decision will once again be made by a jury, which will include laudators such as Katy Karrenbauer, for whom the topic of care is a real matter close to her heart.
The care about | Innovation Days merge with Pro Care 2026
At the Pro Care trade fair, where the bpa will once again be the exclusive congress partner in Hanover in February 2026, the topic of sustainability will now be given a prominent stage as its own “Innovation Space” – perfectly complementing what the “Caring for the Future” congress stands for: important discussions, best practices, and innovations that will shape the future of care. From political decision-makers to management to nursing trainees. And a future without “sustainability”? Unthinkable.
