We are the Careful Edge X research project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
Our goal is to alleviate time pressure in outpatient care by using sensor technology and software to realise certain measurement routines without contact and document them automatically. The data (oxygen saturation, respiration rate, heart rate, bed-out) is recorded and analysed via the sensors of a care bed and via the camera and sensors of an assistant robot. There are also concepts for Gaia-X that can be expanded with automation solutions and adapted to the room, where care is given. The data is integrated via a care digitalisation platform.
Careful Edge X links the areas of care, robotics and smart living and enables future cross-provider and cross-sector use. Care staff and those in need of care are relieved of the burden of routine measurements and still always have up-to-date vital signs to optimise care.
